Legends magazine (2022)

Legends Magazine is a 10 page pop culture/sports publication that features legends from their respective fields. In this issue, Kobe Bryant was the focus and my job was to design the front cover, page layout, typography, and custom infographics. The timeless, yet modern, designs were inspired by Kobe’s simplicity and fundamentals when it came to the game of basketball.

WHY NOT? (2022)

Russell Westbrook is one of the loudest players in the NBA both literally and figuratively. In this design, I wanted to capture the immense passion and joy that Westbrook plays the game of basketball with. The use of bright, “loud” colors in this design is a reflection of his on-court flare and his colorful/bold sense of fashion that he often displays during his “tunnel walk in.” “Why not?” is Westbrook’s brand and trademark slogan that I felt was appropriate to include in this composition in order to tie the whole design together.

All Time Leading Scorer (2023) // 40,000 points (2024)

LeBron James became the all-time leading scorer in NBA history after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 points. The social media graphic to the left was a way to communicate this to a larger audience about this historic accomplishment. In the design, the names of the previous two leading scorers are blurred out while Lebron’s name is emphasized in a bold san serif font. “All time leading scorer” is in the same font as his name in order to draw a quick visual connection about what information the design is trying to convey. The video on the right shows the play in which Lebron crossed the 40,000 point mark, a feat that no player might ever reach again. The video is meant to be an engaging, quick, and informative way to highlight the moment that he reached this milestone.

Paris olympics Social media (2024)

The United States took home 40 gold medals and I wanted to spotlight some of the most memorable athletes from the Paris Olympics: Noah Lyles, Simone Biles, and the U.S. Men’s Basketball team. These designs utilize modern typography and colors that align with USA Olympics branding. Each composition centers around the athletes and has a clear hierarchy that leads the viewer’s eye through the design.

Paris olympics Stickers + Animated logo (2024)

These stickers for the Paris Olympics utilizes strong, geometric typography and is paired with the French national colors. The iconic Eiffel Tower is used to immediately contextualize the event. The designs rely on shapes and colors to create an impactful visual identity.
