Rollison Aviation is a small, vintage aircraft maintenance and restoration business. The client specialized in pre-1950’s aircrafts but also had a firm grasp on modern airplanes.

Initial Business Card Concepts

My client wanted these initial designs to evoke a vintage, industrial aesthetic. There is a strong emphasis on mechanical elements and classical airplane imagery. The use of black and white was meant to create a clean, timeless feel, adding to the sense of professionalism and heritage.

Changes Requested/made

My client requested a different engine be used for the primary logo and asked for a splash of color. He wanted the typeface to evoke more of a “vintage” look that captured the essence of the time period that many of the planes he worked on were from.
